ONCE
Once the world was flat.
Once the edges of the map weren't filled in.
Once heroes battled monsters for glory and fame.
Once the gods presided over all that went on in the world.
Once the world seemed simple. It never was.
And now all that was is back again. In search of purpose.
In search of what once was.
Welcome to 'Once', a modern mythology roleplay. In the years gone by before the beginning of the RP timeline, the most powerful Gods of the most powerful European Pantheons chose to disappear into anonymity, and let the human beings find their own way. They live in secret, in humdrum jobs, and have done so through the centuries.Though some did not take this too well. Some began to raise armies, and began to slowly bend the world back to their desires. They pulled heroes and monsters out of time to do their bidding. The heroes to command their armies, and the monsters to strike fear into the hearts of the everyday humans who wandered oblivious to the dangers that resided outside their front doors. But unfortunately, they were found out, their plans fell through, and those who had been called into action were relinquished of their duty and left to go about their business following in the footsteps of the gods and being forced to adapt to modern life.
Now it is the twenty-first century, and things have been quiet for a long time. But old habits die hard, and danger is looming in the near future.
