≈*≈ Becca liked this new body. She had had to inhabit an old lady and an infant for a little while before she finally found someone that she could spend some time in. she’d gone to a hospital when she was in the old lady and found this girl in a coma in some room. She watched the girl for a few days, and no one ever came to visit, and when she asked the nurse about her, the nurse would just say it was a matter of time until she died, so Becca knew what she had to do. She waited for a couple more days, and when indeed no one showed up, she sat down, left the old lady’s body and went into the girl’s, waking up and getting out of the hospital as quick as she could, trying not to cause too much of a stir and to be inconspicuous. Of course, those hospital robes weren’t very inconspicuous, but she had no choice.
She went down to the nurses’ locker room and put on some jeans and a t-shirt. She didn’t know what exactly she would do next, but she knew where she would go. While she inhabited the old lady’s body, she found out where she kept her money, and since the lady was at the hospital, she could shimmer into the apartment, take the money, mess the place up to make it look like a robbery and run away, establish herself. The lady had about five thousand in there, and even though Becca felt bad, she kept on telling herself she’d pay it back later… somehow.
but that had been some time prior, she was pretty settled now. She had gotten herself a little apartment downtown, and some clothes and weaponry. She had a real easy way to get money and whatever else she needed. When you had a power like hers, there were no such things as doors and windows, you could get into whatever place you wanted as easy as if it indeed had no doors or windows.
She looked around her place, thinking about what kind of measures she could take in order to keep demons away, but whatever she did, was gonna work on her also, and well… leaving your house and not being able to get back in… not exactly a good idea. Just as she was measuring her options, she got a call. The person on the other line said something about dark activity in a big storage not too far from where she was. How did she end up like, you may ask. Well, she had plenty of time on her hands, and plenty of energy to kick some serious ass, so she got herself in the hunting business. She mainly tried to go for demons, she wanted to get rid of as many as she could, but occasionally, if the money was good, she would help people out with different things.
She got dressed and strapped her swords to her back, disappearing soon after and reappearing outside of the building where there was supposed to be trouble. Soon as she got there, even before going inside, she knew that it wasn’t demonic activity. She didn’t know what it was, but she knew there were no demons, she would have sensed them, probably. She walked around, checking everything out, and figured the best way to get in and no get too much attention would be by using the door all the way up top, on the roof. She looked around and after making sure she wasn’t being seen, she reappeared up there.
What she didn’t count on was finding someone else up there. She quickly pulled her swords out, holding them in position in case a fight broke out. She didn’t know what this girl was, but she knew one thing, the girl looked like she could also kick some hardcore ass, and half hoped that she wasn’t the one she had to fight, she was kind of hoping for a slower night tonight.
≈*≈ [[OOC: Sorry, kinda threw you in there lol I was thinking that the building could be infested with vampires, since they’re what Eillis hunts, it would make it easier for them to meet if they were hunting the same thing.]]

“Vampires. Why does it always have to be vampires?”
The man on the other end of the phone had to hold back a snigger, he hadn’t expected the hunter to make such an open movie reference, but instead of receiving another chuckle from the other end the man only received silence. On the other end of the receiver the hunter’s eyes were glazed over, she wouldn’t have noticed that she had quoted a rather famous human icon if she had planned it. Truth was, Eilis was tired of hunting vampires, it was the only thing anyone wanted dead around this time of year. Not that she didn’t want to kill more of the bloodthirsty bastards that had birthed the monster that had killed her family and turned her heart into a shriveled excuse for the beating organ, it was just that she wanted to be known for her proficiency in hunting demons, vampires should be the added bonus. The man on the other end of the phone cleared his throat and snapped Eilis back to the reality of the uncomfortable silence that had drifted on without her being altogether aware of it, but that moment was over and now it was time to get down to the business she was made for. Killing the supernatural.
After the phone was safely back in it’s cradle, the hunter’s mind began to wander once more. Her body moved in a familiar pattern, flying on autopilot as she pinned back her usually unruly mane of mahogany hair into what amounted to a tight bun that clung to her skull tighter then a baby lemur to it’s mother’s back. No matter what way she looked at it, the world was a different place now, a barren savannah that matched her new outlook on life. Survival of the fittest. A thin smile spread on her face at the thought, nature’s very own way of keeping justice was one that her mind easily latched on to. She lived, breathed and ate with revenge filling every pore of her being, but compared to those first few days after the tragedy her mind was calm, that is if you can call a nest of angry wasps calm. As she readied herself for what would undoubtedly be an easy clearing of a small pack of vampires her mind once more began to wander, to fantasize her to be amongst their number. She fastened a katana to her back, her hand sliding across the blade with the tenderness of a lover’s caress as she imagined the cold steel slicing through her neck. Usually on hunting trips that involved vampires she only took the katana, the blade’s lack of remorse combined with her own skill made them quite the adversary for any vampire…But Eilis knew better…Tonight she would take a small side arm, an extra clip of ammo and a bowie knife that she strapped to her thigh. She would have made her father proud…
Usually she didn’t get directions from her clients, but the again she hadn’t been in quite as populated an area as New York City. It felt weird to have to rely upon a memo and not her natural instincts to find her prey, but as soon as she neared the site indicated by the client the wave hit her and she discarded the directions and let her instincts guide her. When she was growing up, her mother had tried to describe to her a hunter’s keen ability to sense and distinguish one supernatural from another. The description had been vague, her mother had stumbled a few times before finally settling on something that would forever stick in her mind, ”It’s like how a bee is able to find a flower. We just know.”
Thanks to her instincts, Eilis also knew that her client had lied to her. As soon as she was only a building away from the large space that was not just occupied by a few vampires, but was crawling with a dozen or more vampires, she knew that this hunting trip was going to be more interesting…And potentially more fun then she had expected. As she circled the building quietly, surveying the surrounding areas and the structure itself and finding that the best way in would undoubtedly be on the roof, Eilis began to climb up. For an average human the feat would have been taxing and would have required most of their strength, but for the hunter it was as easy as it would be for a vampire. Once more her mind clouded over with the possibilities that her target would be lurking inside the building, laughing and joking about what she did to the Lonsdale family name, to what she did to her brother and to how she had almost killed her. She was so distracted that she didn’t sense the demon that had begun to approach the building until the fog of her fantasy had been lifted and the distinct feeling of a demon standing behind her struck her upside the head. Instinctively she turned on the demon, the small gun in her left hand while the more intimidating katana twinkled in the dull light in her right. Her blue eyes narrowed, she stood her ground and broke the unsteady silence between them, “Here to kill me, demon?”

≈*≈ Becca had to start to get excited about tonight’s hunting trip, she’d often noticed how she turned out to be below her own standards when she didn’t take her jobs seriously; it was just better if she felt the adrenaline rush through her veins and put all of herself into killing whatever she was up against.
Vampires weren’t really easy to get rid of, but they were definitely the easiest of all kinds of supernatural things. Well, with her powers and with her ability with blades, there was never too much of a challenge to begin with, but vampires… despite how fast they were, and their reflexes, there weren’t too many things that put up a good challenge for her. not when she could do what she did, she was simply too fast for most kinds of eyes, no matter how quick they were.
When she reached the top of the building, she noticed there was someone else up there, but wasn’t sure what the deal was with her, except that she looked like she could kick some serious ass, but upon seeing her reflexes, and how she easily indentified what Becca was, she could only be a hunter.
Anyone could easily tell she was human, beings from the supernatural normally didn’t have trouble identifying another supernatural beings. They couldn’t always tell exactly what they were, but they could normally tell when they were something.
She didn’t even flinch as the woman pulled out her gun and pointed steadily at her. ”Sadly hunter, there’s no reward on your pretty head… so no, I’m not here to kill you.” she said, holding her combat position, he swords held steadily in her hands as her eyes turned black and she looked deep into the hunter’s eyes, grinning. ”Maybe some other time though, you look like you’d be worth a fight.” she said, grinning wider, her eyes turning back to their regular blue color.
”But… it seems that we’re here after the same thing, so as I see it, we have two options. We can fight to see who goes in and almost kill one another, neither one of us going home in one piece, or we can work together, do our thing, get our money… and buy each other a drink afterwards.” she said holding her position steady, but being completely honest. She had no reason to turn on this woman, she reall wanted the money she was getting for this job, and if she fought a hunter before going in, she would already go in in a disadvantage, which would severely slow her down. ≈*≈
